Chinese quake affected students to take rehabilitation courses in Russia
Adjust font size:

Thirty students from southwest China's quake-hit province of Sichuan will come to Russia for rehabilitation courses this summer, local media reported.

These students will take part in the summer camp for youths in Sverdlovskaya, hometown of former Russian President Boris Yeltsin, the regional governor told reporters.

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev invited a group of students from the quake-stricken area to Russia for rehabilitation during his first visit to Beijing last month after taking office on May 7.

Russia has so far sent nearly 400 tons of emergency aid, as well as rescue and medical teams, to China's southwestern Sichuan province, which was hit by the 8-magnitude quake on May 12.
