​A public welfare program celebrating the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the 90th anniversary of the victory of the Red Army's Long March was launched in Beijing on Tuesday. It combines revolutionary heritage and education with cutting-edge AI experiences for nearly 2,000 young participants.

About 90 years ago, after trekking 12,500 kilometers across 11 provinces, the Central Red Army reached Yan'an, Shaanxi Province. This was where their Long March came to an end, and where a new journey began.

From July 22 to 23, Spanish youth leader Jacobo Pombo García visited the Yangjialing Revolutionary Site. He toured the Central Auditorium, the site of the Seventh National Congress of the CPC, and the working and living quarters of Mao Zedong and other veteran CPC leaders. There, he reflected on the CPC, the Long March spirit, and China's path to modernization.

As the "Together on the Long March" reporting team from China International Communications Group continues its visit to Quanzhou and Xing'an counties in Guangxi, they are doing more than just revisiting historic battle sites — they are also exploring how this old revolutionary land has developed and what the Long March spirit looks like today.

More than nine decades on, the Long March still resonates in China and beyond, offering insight into the country's past and inspiration that transcends cultures, experts said in Yan'an on Friday.

A sharing and exchange session titled "The Enduring Echo of the Long March: Toward a Shared Future" was held in Yan'an, Shaanxi Province on July 24. The event formed part of the "Together on the Long March: 90th Anniversary of an Epic Journey" International Communication Project, initiated by China International Communications Group (CICG).

High in the mountains of Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province, icy winds sweep through Mount Jiajin's high-altitude passes. Nestled in the valleys at the foot of these snow-capped peaks, vibrant fields of pink Damascus roses roll across the slopes, filling the crisp alpine air with a rich, sweet fragrance.

The Songpan Ancient Town, located in Songpan County, Sichuan Province, sits on the eastern edge of the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau at an elevation of approximately 2,850 meters. First established in the Tang Dynasty (618-907), the town became a major hub on the Tea Horse Road. Today, it is a popular tourist attraction steeped in culture.

In Wuqi county, Shaanxi province, barren hills have given way to forests, illustrating how ecological restoration has transformed a historic Long March landmark into a model of green development.

​In Yan'an's Ganquan county, northwest China's Shaanxi province, where the victory of the Central Red Army's Long March was declared, the traditional tofu industry is helping drive rural revitalization by combining local specialties, cultural heritage and tourism.

The Battle of the Xiangjiang River over 90 years ago was a life-or-death trial that drove the Communist Party of China and the Red Army to adapt amid immense sacrifice. With troop numbers plummeting from 86,000 at the start of the Long March to just over 30,000, the devastating losses prompted deep reflection within the Party and planted the seeds for a historic turning point that would reshape China's future.

On Saturday, a symposium was held at Chengdu Radio and Television Station, bringing together experts, media representatives, writers, and international guests to reflect on their journey over the previous 10 days of the "Together on the Long March: 90th Anniversary of an Epic Journey" International Communication Project.

Ninety years after the victory of the Long March (1934-36), what remains of this extraordinary journey? Every mile of the Long March holds a story. But few are remembered like Luding Bridge. This is the story of a life-or-death charge, an act of sheer grit and a legacy that continues to inspire new journeys more than 90 years later.

In July 1935, the Red Army halted and rested at the Zhuokeji Tusi Manor in Xisuo Village for seven days during the Long March. Today, Barkam City, a region onced held back by Tusi rule, geographical isolation and poverty, is now using its intangible cultural heritage and the opportunities presented by tourism to pursue common prosperity and enhance cultural integration.

"Jiajin" means "very high and very steep" in Tibetan. The weather on the mountain is extremely complex and unpredictable. On July 6, a group of journalists from the China International Communications Group (CICG)'s Together on the Long March project crossed the Jiajin Mountain Pass while travelling along the route taken by the Central Red Army during the Long March.
