Outlook of values is the philosophical foundation of the Chinese approach. China's outlook of values is demonstrated in its new type of international relations that seeks equality and mutual benefit.
China insists on avoiding conflict and confrontation and aims to peacefully resolve international differences. In the meantime, it does not fear threats, and will develop active defense capability.
Upon the 70th anniversary of the founding of the UN, the Chinese leader will go to attend the UN General Assembly at the UN Headquarters and conduct a state visit to the United States. The exchange of visits between the leaders of China and the United States that has taken place over the past two years will continue this year. The two sides will go on increasing trust, understanding differences and expanding cooperation.
China's relations with Russia are also deepening. There will be a Sino-Russian summit this year, and there will be mutual attendance at each other's military reviews. Both sides have showed a more obvious intent to work together to stabilize international order.
With its steady development, China is playing a more important international role. It has completed its merge into the international system and is entering into a new era of forging the international system. China will carry out its initiatives of building the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road in 2015, beginning in surrounding countries based on their actual needs and their ability to collaborate.
The related Silk Road funds and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank are also gradually taking shape. As time goes on, the great project of bringing Europe and Asia together that China has long backed may possibly improve the quality of life of billions of people living throughout the world. This will be a significant publicly shared result of China's new type of foreign relations.
