Asian Games to open tickets sales to public

Organisers of the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games announced on Wednesday that the tickets sales will be launched worldwide on May 20.

More than 200,000 tickets of 13 sports will go to public in the first stage, including those of badminton, BMX, golf, judo, rhythmic gymnastics, roller skating, rowing, shooting, table tennis, track and field, trampoline, triathlon, wrestling, whose competition calendars have been confirmed.

People could log on tickets.gz2010.cn to book tickets and home fans could also go to 400 appointed branches of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) to apply for the tickets.

One can apply for a maximum of 10 different matches and 2-5 tickets per match, the organisers said.

The tickets will be sold on first-come-first-serve basis.

The 16th Asian Games will raise its curtain on November 12.
