South Korea's Kim Woo-Jin shattered a world record at the men's individual qualification round of the Asian Games archery competition in Guangzhou on Saturday.

Kim garnered 1,387 points to beat the 144 arrows qualification round world mark of 1,386, set by his teammate Oh Jin-Hyek in Ulsan, South Korea, on Sept. 4, 2009.

Oh came second after Kim with an unimpressive score of 1,366 points.

Another South Korean Im Dong-Hwan was second in the qualification round with 1,361 points.
