Defending champions Guangdong Hongyuan welcomed their six straight wins with a 107-90 home victory over Beijing Ducks in the 24th round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Sunday.

Guangdong had a 6-0 run to start the game and Beijing did not score any points in the first five minutes until Randolph Morris took a fast-break dunk. Guangdong led 54-31 at halftime.

Thanks to Wilkins' good performance, the score disparity was reduced to 12 points at the end of the third quarter. However, the defending champions gave Ducks no chance for the reversal. Guangdong led 102-80 with less than 2 minutes to play and ended Beijing' s winning streak.

Quincy Douby scored 26 point, and Liu Wei had 20 points and 7 assists to lead Shanghai Sharks to a 109-91 road victory over Bayi Fubang.

Despite of strong performance of Bayi' s veteran center Wang Zhizhi, who had team-high 24 points and 7 rebounds, the team did not play well and had to accept its third straight loss.
