Damien Wilkins scored a team-high 32 points and helped Beijing Ducks beat Jilin Northeast Tigers 122-111 in the 28th round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Sunday.

Due to Stephon Marbury' s knee injury, Wilkins joined Beijing last December. As a sub for Marbury, he averaged 21.2 points, 4.6 boards and 3.1 assist in 19 games. Wilkins' s mission is completed when fit-again Marbury returns to the court next round.

"Wilkins will leave Beijing for the USA on Monday," Beijing' s coach Min Lulei said, "he is a great and professional player, you know, he knew he would not play for long time here but he tried his best in every game he played and helped us win games."

After losing 102-96 to Guangdong Hongyuan, Shanxi Fenjiu had no chance of fighting for the ticket of play-offs. The defending champions dominated the game from the very beginning and led the whole game, easily achieving its tenth straight win.

Guangdong' s Yi Jianlian had 29 points and 11 boards, Zhu Fangyu scored 17 points, Wang Shipeng contributed 16 points and 4 assists, Zhou Peng had 13 points, and Joshua Powell helped with 12 points and 14 boards.

Bobby Brown scored 33 points and helped Dongguan Marco Polo claim a 109-91 victory over Xinjiang Guanghui. Xinjiang' s center Tang Zhengdong had 13 points and 9 rebounds before fouling out, not good enough to save his team. However, Tang achieved 8,002 points in his CBA career after Sunday' s game, which made him the seventh player scoring over 8,000 points in the CBA.

Jiangsu Dragons edged Bayi Fubang 102-96. Bayi' s veteran center Wang Zhizhi, to be retired after this season, continued to shine in the match. After finishing with 30 points and 10 rebounds in the game against Qingdao on Friday, Wang scored a team-high 28 points and grabbed 7 rebounds on Sunday.

In other games, Shandong Gold beat Tianjin Ronggang 92-84, Liaoning Hengye edged Fujian SBS 103-100, Zhejiang Guangsha defeated Qingdao Doublestars 128-116, Shanghai sharks, owned by Yao Ming, topped Foshan Long Lions 114-106 and Sichuan Jinqiang were 117-114 winners over Zhejiang Chouzhou.
