Adjust font size:

Chinese shuttlers' positions in the world rankings remain unchallenged, according to the latest release by the World Badminton Federation, or IBF, on its website.

Super Lin Dan tightened his grip on the top spot of the men's single players, while Bao Chunlai, who last time held the second position, slumped to fifth.

Chen Jin replaced Bao as second in the rankings, while another compatriot, Chen Yu, climbed to third from sixth. Veteran Chen Hong is still in fourth position.

In the women's singles table, Chinese Xie Xingfang, Zhang Ning and Zhu Lin are still the top three with Lu Lan falling to fifth. German Xu Huaiwen is the only non-Chinese player in the top five.

In addition, Chinese players have also secured the number one positions in the doubles rankings.
