   Qionghai City, Hainan Province  海南琼海

Located 86 kilometers south of Haikou, the capital city of Hainan Province, Qionghai City is a wonderland for holidaymakers, with its gorgeous tropical scenery, fantastic sea views, fresh air and agreeable climate. To date, four natural spring sites have been found at the lower reaches of the Wanquan River and Jiuqu River, including Guantang Hot Spring Area, Jiuqujiang Hot Spring Area, and Lanshan Hot Spring Area.

There are currently two well-known developed spa resorts: one is in Boao, the water town which lies east of the city, and the other in Guantang Town, which is located eight kilometers from the city proper. With average temperatures of between 70℃ and 90℃, the healing water is a must for spa enthusiasts. In autumn and winter, the water's surface is enveloped in dreamlike vapor and mist, evoking the atmosphere of classical Chinese paintings.
