Weihai City , Shandong Province  山东威海

Located in eastern Shangdong Province, Weihai is a major seaport and one of the most livable cities in the world. The city has nine natural hot springs, accounting for more than half of Shandong's total. It's said that the spa tradition and culture began as early as the Warring States Period (475B.C.-221B.C.). Presently, there are four natural hot springs which have been developed for spa, medical and other purposes. They are: Baoquantang Hot Spring in the city proper, Wenquantang Hot Spring in Wenquan Town, Hongshui Lantang Hot Spring in Caomiaozi Town, and Qilitang Hot Spring in Wendeng City.

The most famous spa areas include Baoquantang Spa Street and Tianmu Weihai Hot Spring Holiday Resort in Wendeng City. There are more than ten bathing centers located on both sides of Baoquan Road. There are also several large-scale indoor swimming pools and water therapy venues, hence the name "Baoquantang Spa Street".
