Sha'anxi Province produced 12.23 tons of gold in 2011, accounting for 3.39 percent of the national total. Its gold resources are mainly distributed in the following six cities: Weinan, Hanzhong, Baoji, Shangluo, Ankang and Xi'an. The top 5 gold-producing counties include Tongguan, Fengxian, Taibai, Luonan and Lueyang. The Xiaoqinling Gold Mine Belt extending from Lingbao City of Henan Province to the south of Tongguan County is the second largest gold deposit in China. Tongguan, ranked the 10th among the top 10 gold-producing cities and counties in China, produced 11 tons of gold in 2011, up 15.2 percent. Sha'anxi's gold industry raked in 968 million yuan (US$153.65 million) in profits in 2011, a 185.6 percent increase.
