Production 2011: 19.83 tons

Increase over 2010: 12.20 percent

Fujian Province produced 19.83 tons of gold in 2011, accounting for 5.49 percent of the national total. A rising star since the 1980s, Fujian's gold resources are mainly distributed in the following cities and counties: Shanghang, Youxi, Taining, Zhenghe, Jianyang, Jian'ou, Dehua and Yongtai. The Zijinshan Gold and Copper Mine in Shanghang County, rated the largest gold mine in China by China Gold Association in 2008, has proven gold reserves of about 200 tons by July, 2010.
