Increase over 2010: 16.06 percent

Anhui Province produced 13.75 tons of gold in 2011, accounting for 3.81 percent of the national total. Gold resources are widely distributed across the province, but in small quantities. Currently, Anhui has eleven gold-producing cities. In 2011, gold output of Tongling, Huangshan and Bengbu cities accounted for 92.15 percent of the provincial total. Tongling City contributes more than 80 of the provincial total. Chuzhou and Huaibei cities are also rich in gold resources. Anhui's gold industry generated 1.3 billion yuan (US$206.35 million) in profits in 2011.
