 Wu Sansi

Wu Sansi (649-707), as the nephew of Empress Wu Zetian (624-705), was an official in the Tang Dynasty (618-907) and an imperial prince and prime minister of Wu's Zhou Dynasty (690-705). After Emperor Zhongzong ascended to the throne in 705, Wu became extremely powerful due to the trust Emperor had in him and his affair with Emperor Zhongzong's powerful wife Empress Wei. During the time, Wu became even richer by taking bribes. He was killed in a rebellion by Emperor Zhongzong's son Li Chongjun in 707.
