 Dong Xian

Dong Xian (22-1 B.C.) was a minion of Emperor Ai of Han (25-1 B.C.). Good-looking and sensitive, Dong was especially good at ingratiating himself with the emperor. He was promoted to a very high position. He sat next to the emperor when the emperor went outside and received enormous amounts of wealth from the emperor. However, shortly after the emperor died in 1 B.C., Dong was removed from his position and then killed himself.
