Liu Jin (1451-1510) was a eunuch who served the Emperor Wuzong during the Ming Dynasty. He was adopted by the eunuch Liu Shun when he was six and became a eunuch. Liu was famous for being one of the most corrupt officials in Chinese history. He was known as the leader of the "Eight Tigers," a powerful group of eunuchs who controlled the imperial court. The bribes he took were worth 330,000 kilograms of gold and 8.05 million kilograms of silver. He was put to death by dismemberment in 1510.
