Wenshu Temple

Enjoying a history of over 1,000 years, Wenshu Temple is the largest and best preserved Buddhist Temple in Chengdu. For many centuries, it has been a welcomed travel destination for pilgrims and visitors. It is well known for the rich collection of ancient paintings, sutras, calligraphy and other cultural relics. Besides, it is a good place to experience the typical old Chengdu life style. Locals are fond of the nearby teahouse and vegetarian restaurants.

Admission fee: 5 yuan

Opening hours: 09:00 – 17:00

Transportation: take bus No.16, 55, 98, 298, 300 or subway line 1 and get off at Wenshuyuan (Wenshu Temple).
