Over in Johannesburg, South Africa, Russian beauty Kseniya Sukhinova has been crowned the 58th Miss World.

She was crowned following a two-hour spectacle, containing elements of a travelogue and reality show. And also the kind of flag-waving patriotism usually reserved for sporting events.

Sukhinova was crowned the winner over the weekend, in a program broadcast live to millions of viewers in 187 countries. In her biography on the Miss World Web site, Sukhinova listed becoming a super model as her goal. She also won the contest's top model award, and placed third in the swimsuit competition.
