'Panda-monium' takes Taiwan by storm
Adjust font size:

"Panda-monium" has taken Taiwan by storm. It's got everyone talking but none more so than the catering industry.

It might be a little disconcerting to see food dressed up to look like the cuddly bears. But don't be alarmed - it's not the real thing. White fish rolls with black caviare, plus meals that pandas love to eat: a salad of bamboo shoots, artistically-sliced apple, and cornbread for dessert.

Restaurants are doing all they can to pander to a panda's appetite - for example, this Sichuan-styled dish from the bears' hometown of Ya'an.
