About 700 protesters marched through Athens' main shopping district on Christmas Eve, demanding the release of those arrested during the recent rioting.

There were no reports of violence during the march.

Protests and attacks on police have continued since the shooting death of a teenager earlier this month, which sparked the worst rioting Greece has seen in decades.
