Fog and snow have hit large areas of China, forcing the closure of major airports and highways across the country.

Flights were delayed at a key airport in Changsha, the capital of Hunan province. The fog also slowed traffic on highways there. In the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, snow has paralyzed many roads in the northern areas. Local governments have mobilized snow-clearing machines. But strong wind and a drop in temperature are expected across the country in coming days, as another cold front draws near.
