Michael Phelps avoid prosecution for drug violation
Adjust font size:

South Carolina police say Michael Phelps will not be prosecuted for drug violations. The Beijing Olympic gold medalist expressed his relief.

Michael Phelps said, "I'm happy to have this thing at rest a little bit. I'm glad this matter is put to rest. This is something that I need to learn from and will learn from.... For me, it's about trying to get a message to kids. I know a lot of people make mistakes. and the best thing to do is change things. If i can help people from making the same mistake I made and focus on the future and try and get back in the pool and getting my regular schedule backis really what I'm looking forward to."
