The schedule has been unveiled for the much-anticipated production of "Turandot" at the National Stadium, or Bird's Nest. The creator of the show will be renowned filmmaker, Zhang Yimou.

Wednesday's press conference was attended by leading members of the production team for the Beijing Olympics' Opening Ceremony, including Chen Weiya and Sha Xiaolan.

Organizers say the cast of the show will be all Chinese. They also say the stage will hold more than three thousand performers at peak moments. Organizers promise the production will prove more spectacular than ever, taking full advantage of the latest multi-media technologies.

Following its premiere on October sixth and seventh this year, the show will take the grand production overseas to five foreign countries.
