Student Wu Zixin took part in the ceremony. She likes the baby elephant. "It's very lovely and beautiful," she said.

Her classmate, Li Zixuan, also appreciates Sri Lanka's gift. "I think China and Sri Lanka are best friend. I like Sri Lanka and I like Sri Lanka's elephant."

Amunugama says this is what Migara is all about. "Those who come to see this elephant, most of them are children. So it's a friendship—the feeling, the innocent peoples, innocent children…this is the future of our countries."
