China stressed Thursday its assistance to flood-hit Pakistan is sincere, timely and unconditional.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Jiang Yu made the remarks at a regular press briefing.

She said China will continue to offer Pakistan support and help in Pakistan's reconstruction.

China is Pakistan's intimate neighbor and an all-weather partner, Jiang said.

The Chinese people feel sympathy for the Pakistani people as they suffer the effects of the floods, she said.

According to the spokesperson, China has provided humanitarian relief assistance worth more than 100 million yuan (about 14.6 million U.S. dollars) to Pakistan.

The Chinese Liberation Army, the Red Cross Society, local governments and entrepreneurs have also provided relief aid in various forms.

The rescue team sent by the Chinese government has arrived in the hardest-hit area in southern Pakistan and established a mobile hospital.
