"I hope the sheep breeding base of our village can help buy my grass feed so I can earn a little extra money."

Zhang Yongchang, a farmer from Yaguan Village in Bijie City, had been making a living on corn planting, and could barely make ends meet. In July of 2015, Zhang applied for subsidized loans through a precise poverty alleviation project and used it for cattle farming. Since then, his life began a new chapter.

"I want to expand my noodle business."

As Yanjiao Village in Liupanshui City has started to establish its tourist site Dala Valley in recent years, farmers there gradually lifted themselves out of poverty. Ji Chengxu's household noodle business is also on the rise.
