Xia Yongfa used to be a migrant worker. In 2010, he returned to his hometown in Jiangkou County of Tongren City and obtained a loan of 150,000 yuan (US$22,830) via the government's financial poverty alleviation project. He then converted his house into a rural inn. Located in a tourist site, the rural inn brings him an annual income of about 300,000 yuan (US$45,660).
