Senior Leader Calls for New Round of Study of 'Three Represents' Thought
Jia Qinglin, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), on Thursday requested CPPCC departments at all levels to initiate a new round of study of the important thoughts of the "Three Represents".

The study of the thought is a strategic task for all Party members and a basic requirement for building a stronger country, said Jia, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, addressing a conference held to celebrate the 82nd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China on Thursday.

All CPPCC departments must fulfill the requirements of the CPC Central Committee and achieve results in daily work, he added.

Jia also stressed that efforts should be made to control the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) and to promote economic construction.
