Couple Detained over Child Prostitution
Adjust font size:

China's most-wanted couple was seized in Sichuan Province for allegedly forcing several school children into prostitution, Xinhua news agency reported today.

Chi Yao, a teacher in Xinfa Village in Guizhou Province, was said to collude with his wife Zhao Qingmei and other people to force 18 primary and high school students, aging from 11 to 17, into prostitution in nearby areas since March 2006.

Police seized more than 20 suspects and then offered a 100,000 yuan (US$13,228) award for clues leading to the couple's detention.

Police caught them in Panzhihua City of Sichuan Province on August 10, the report said.
