Adjust font size:

Four people have been killed by a landslide that pushed their vehicle into a valley in southwest China's Yunnan Province, police said on Monday.

The accident happened at noontime Saturday when the landslide, triggered by continuous rain, pushed the car off road and fell 300 meters into the the bottom of the valley in Zhenkang county, a local traffic police said.

Bodies of the four victims were recovered on Sunday, while the car was left in the valley since it was completely broken, the police said.

The accident site had been blocked off for road construction. The victims were directors of the road construction project.
