A test exercise with actual troops and equipment staged under informationalization condition by a mechanized infantry brigade of the Beijing Military Area Command was wrapped up in a vast desert in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

The exercise, which set tactical scenarios according to the requirements of actual combat, was carried out on three different training grounds.

During the exercise, the troops switched the degrees of combat readiness and organized accompanying transportation of materials, equipment, POL and ammunition in strict accordance with actual combat standard.

The officers and men drilled on long-range, multi-directional and multi-echelon mobility. The armored troops rehearsed long-distance wheeled marching on complicated terrains and organized organic armored battalions to ferry across the sea in wave formations before they seized the beach to make landing. The artillery troops organized swift loading of their artillery pieces onto ships to ferry across the sea.
