2 killed, 4 injured in construction site collapse in Beijing

The collapse of a construction site in southern urban area of Beijing has killed at least two people and injured four others, the local government sources said on Saturday.

The collapse occurred around 9:00 PM on Saturday at a construction site near Hufangqiao, Xuanwu District.

Two workers were killed at the scene and another four were seriously injured. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital and are now out of life danger, the sources said.

The rescuers are probing into the collapsed spot for any more buried victims. An investigation is still underway.
