Harbin Int'l Ice and Snow Festival opens

Fireworks are set off to mark the opening of the 24th Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival in Harbin, capital of northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, Jan. 5, 2008. The gala, opened on Saturday, will last over two months.
