FM Spokeswoman on Indonesian President's Visit to China

Indonesian President Megawati Soekarnoputri's forthcoming visit to China will further enhance the all-round cooperative relationship of mutual trust and good neighborliness between the two countries.

Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Zhang Qiyue made the remarks Tuesday at the regular press conference.

President Megawati will pay a state visit to China at the invitation of Chinese President Jiang Zemin from March 24 to 28. Zhang said, "It is the first time that Megawati will pay an official visit to China since she assumed office. China pays great attention to this visit. Chinese President Jiang Zemin and other leaders will meet or hold talks with Megawati, and the two sides will also exchange ideas on issues of common concern."
