Beijing Uses Water-saving Toilets In Imperial Garden

Managers of Beijing's famous imperial garden, the Summer Palace, have applied water-saving gadgets in three of its toilets.

The Beijing Youth Daily said that, by using those gadgets, cleaners will only need to use five percent of the water they usedto use to flush the toilets.

Tests show that up to 12 tons of water can be saved by using recycling technology.

Beijing is one of the northern cities in China that suffer froma serious shortage of water.
