Gunman Aims for Successful Launch

In China, August 1 means Chinese Army's Day and the time when the battle begins between films and TV shows relevant to military life. Gunman is one of the TV series vying for attention this August season. It promises loads of special effects not ordinarily seen in Chinese television.

Shooting wrapped up for the TV series Gunman on July 10. Now promos are underway featuring its array of special effects giving audiences reasons to believe that it is the target choice for the fall season.

Shen Dong, director of Gunman, said, "You can see Type 88, Sniper Rifle and Type 95, Assault Rifle in it. You'll hear those cool sounds, assembling and disassembling guns and everything. We give a very detailed depiction of gun shooting. The pin hits the bullet and the bullet rush all the way through the barrel."

The producer also says Gunman is meant to be different from the other films of the same genre, more in-fashion and more up beat. Gunman is set to premiere at the end of July.
