Chinese TV artists urged to promote advanced culture
Adjust font size:

A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has urged the country's television artists to follow the guidelines of the 17th National Congress of the CPC and promote advanced culture.

Liu Yunshan, head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, made the call in a speech at the 4th Congress of the China Television Artists Association (CTAA), held in Beijing from November 8 to 12.

Liu, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, praised the association for what it had done since its 3rd Congress in 2002 in serving the functions of liaison, coordination and service, holding together television artists closely, and organizing a large number of cultural programs and academic events.

He urged television artists to further improve their work in spreading advanced culture, fostering kind souls, promoting sound trends and singing the praises of sincere and nice feelings among people.
