General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China Hu Jintao meets with Honorary Chairman of Chinese Kuomintang Lien Chan, who was on a visit to the mainland to attend a forum on promoting cross-Taiwan Strait economic and trade cooperation. During the meeting, Hu raised four proposals on the development of relations between the mainland and Taiwan.
