Following Impression Liu Sanjie, Chinese director Zhang Yimou is engaged with another folk musical with his Impression Lijiang, set in the scenic outdoors of South China's Yunnan province. 

The director will again team up with partners Wang Chaoge and Fan Yue in this project. 　　

The world-famous Impression Liu Sanjie won high acclaim at home and abroad for its artistic creation. 　　

Lijiang's Yulong Mount, Tea, Horse Road, and ancient town are expected to be included as natural settings in the new project, which will blend with local customs and flavors of the Naxi ethnic groups. 　　

Performed by local residents in Lijiang, the musical will last for an entire day. 　

The first performance is expected to open to the public at the end of this year.
