Li Changchun Urges Study of CPC Congress Essence
As its main political task for the time being, the entire Communist Party of China (CPC) should study and faithfully implement the essence of the just-concluded 16th CPC National Congress, a senior CPC official said Friday.

Li Changchun, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau, said this while meeting with members of a central CPC delegation who will go around the country to promote the study and implementation of the essence of the congress.

Li told the delegation members, who come from a host of central CPC departments, to publicize the essence of the congress in a generally positive, accurate and serious manner.

The delegation members should focus their lectures on the theme of the congress, explaining the important thought of Three Represents, the objectives of building a well-off society in an all-round way, and the strategic plans of reform, opening-up, modernization and Party building, Li said.

Present at the meeting were CPC Central Committee Publicity Department head Liu Yunshan and Organization Department head He Guoqiang. They are both members of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau and Secretariat.
