Weekly Weather Forecast (Sept. 12 to 18)

Northwest China: September 12 to 14, northern Xinjiang and some eastern parts of the region will meet showers or light to moderate rainfall. Affected by streams of cold air, September 15 to 17, most of the region will receive showers or light rainfall with moderate rain expected by some of eastern parts and even heavy rainfall in some places accompanied with force 4 to 5 northerly winds and lower temperatures. September 17 to 18, western and northern Xinjiang, Qinghai and western Gansu will continue to see showers or light rainfall.

 

North China: September 12 to 14, affected by weak streams of cold air and the weakening No.15 tropic storm, northernmost parts will have light rainfall, while central and southern parts will get light to moderate rain with heavy rain in some of southeastern parts. Affected by strong streams of cold air, September 15 to 17, most of north China will turn to be overcast with light rainfall, or moderate rainfall in some places accompanied with force 4 to 6 northerly winds. September 17 to 18, temperatures in most of the region will decline.

 

Northeast China: September 12, northernmost sections will appear light rainfall and then turn to be cloudy. September 13 to 15, southern sections will experience light to moderate rainfall with heavy rainfall or rainstorms expected in some areas. Affected by streams of cold air, September 15 to 17, most of the region will have light to moderate rainfall with force 4 to 6 southerly or northerly winds and falling temperatures. September 18, northernmost sections will continue to receive showers, while the remainder sections will be under sunny to cloudy skies.

 

Central China: Affected by the weakening No.15 tropic storm, September 12 to 13, eastern sections will have light to moderate rainfall with heavy to stormy rain possible in some areas. September 15 to 16, northern sections will meet light to moderate rainfall, while southern sections will be sunny and hot with temperature up to 35 Celsius degree or above. September 17 to 18, affected by streams of cold air, eastern and southern Hubei Province and central and northern Hunan Province will get thundershowers or light to moderate rainfall; central and northern sections of the region will have force 4 to 5 northerly winds with falling temperature; but in southern Hunan it is still hot.

 

East China: September 12 to 14, affected by the lower air pressure of the weakening No.15 tropic storm, most of the region will see light to moderate rain from south to north, while northern Jiangxi, Anhui, western and northern Jiangsu and Shandong Peninsula will meet heavy to stormy rainfall with force 4 to 6 strong winds in some areas. September 14 to 16, southern parts of the region and areas south of the Yangtze-Huaihe rivers will appear higher temperatures over 35 Celsius degree. September 15 to 16, northern parts will be cloudy with showers or light to moderate rain. September 17 to 18, affected by streams of cold air, the Yangtze-Huaihe rivers area and northern portions south of the Yangtze River will experience light to moderate rain or thundershowers, while central and northern parts will have force 4 to 6 northerly winds with a drop in temperatures.

 

South China: Jointly affected by streams of warm and humid air and tropic low air pressure, September 12 to 15, southernmost sections and the coastal areas will have light to moderate rain or thundershowers, while the coastal areas of western Guangdong and southern Guangxi, along with some parts of Hainan Island will experience heavy to stormy rain with cloudburst possible in some of southernmost Hainan Island. September 13 to 17, northern and eastern section will see hot sunshine weather with temperature up to 34 to 36 Celsius degree. September 16 to 18, western sections will see cloudy skies with showers or thundershowers expected.

 

Southwest China: September 12 to 14, most of Tibet, western Sichuan and southern and western Yunnan will have light to moderate rain or showers. Affected by streams of cold air, September 15 to 18, most of the region will fall light to moderate rains or thundershowers with heavy rainfall expected in some eastern parts. The temperatures will also drop.
