Road Mishaps Leave 2 Dead, 32 Others Injured in Guizhou

Two people died and 32 others got injured at a bus-truck collisions Sunday in the Zhenning autonomous county of Buyi and Miao ethicalities, southwest China's Guizhou Province, local police sources confirmed Monday.

 

At around 3:30 p.m. Sunday, a bus carrying 28 passengers, while trying to surpass a light-duty truck, ran head-on into a minibus with 16 people aboard from the opposite direction on a section of the highway from Guiyang, the provincial capital, to Huangguoshu, a scenic spot in the province, according to local police.

 

Then the bus turned over, and the minibus again collided with the light truck, killing two people and injuring 32 others, the local police said.

 

The cause of the accident is being investigated.
