The finals of Miss World 2003 has benefited the tourism of Sanya, a tropical resort city in China's Hainan Province.

The city hosted a record high of 377,000 overnight tourists in Nov. 2003, up 25.58% year-on-year and 20.83% over October.

Tourism income in the month totalled RMB 333 million yuan (USD 40 million), up 20.65% from the corresponding period last year.
