The original Chinese white liquor was born in Apricot Blossom Village of Shanxi Province. In a famous poem of the Tang Dynasty (618-907) a cowboy spots a distant hamlet nestling amidst apricot blossoms, and the perfume of the flowers guided visitors into the well-known Chinese wine town, Apricot Blossom Village, near Fenyang County. It is said that the village's well water is ideal for wine-making.

Fen liquor dates back to the Northern and Southern Dynasties (550 AD). Made from first-class Chinese sorghum, it's fragrant with a mellow and sweet taste.
