Wu Liang Ye, a strong, distilled spirit, is produced in the city of Yibin, in southern Sichuan. 'Wu Liang' means 'five kinds of grains' in Chinese, referring to its ingredients of sorghum, glutinous rice, rice, wheat and corn. With a lasting fragrance and mellow and luscious taste, it enjoys a high reputation as 'jade liquid'.

The spirit is a typical representative of the Daqu liquor. It is the ultimate in modern Chinese spirits. It has been awarded 39 international gold prizes.
