Since its establishment in 2006, it has attracted great attention from the government of Belarus. A. Tozik, Vice Premier of Belarus, Honorary Member of the Institute’s Board of Directors, has provided suggestions on the future development of the Institute. In accordance with Belarus’ requirements, it is called the Information Consultation and Service Center for China-Belarus Cooperation regarding Education, Culture, Economy and Sports. It provides full service to bi-lateral cooperation in various fields.

Due to its interesting courses and activities and possibilities of enrolling in credit-bearing courses, the number of people who join in the activities has doubled in 2011. In addition, and with the help of the institution, the first full-time Chinese immersion school in South Carolina - East Point Bilingual School- was launched in August 2011. Aside from this, it also features many programs, such as International Film Studies Conference, which is very popular with locals.
