Saudi Arabia has signed a deal with the United States in February of 2012 that it will purchase a fleet of 36 AH-6i light attack helicopters. After that, it has started negotiations with Boeing regarding price and delivery schedules. It was part of the US$60 billion Saudi buying spree for U.S. weaponry in 2010. Others include 84 new F-15SAs fighter jets, 70 AH-64D Block.3 attack helicopters, 72 UH-60M Multi-Mission Helicopter and 12 MD-530F light helicopters, as well as a package of ammunition, communications equipment among others.
