Top 10 Chinese cities by GDP in the first three quarters of 2020

No. 6: Suzhou


Suzhou’s GDP from January to September amounted to 1.42 trillion yuan, up 2.4% year on year based on comparable prices, 1.6 percentage points higher than the growth rate of the first half of 2020. 


As one of the major cities of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, Suzhou has been working to improve its business ecology for innovation-driven development. The output value of its high-tech industry and strategic emerging industries in the first three quarters totaled 895.9 billion yuan and 1.07 trillion yuan, each accounting for 36.2% and 43.2% of that of the industrial enterprises above the designated size.
