Beijing has become the only city in northern China on the Top 10 list. Its GDP in the first nine months of 2020 totaled 2.58 trillion yuan, up 0.1% year on year based on comparable prices. With the added value of 2.18 trillion yuan, its tertiary industry remained the biggest growth driver of the city’s economy.
