Finally, they made it to their new home.

After a three-hour flight across the 160-kilometer Taiwan Strait, the unique Chinese mainland bears finally touched down in the regional city of Taipei.

Called "Tuan Tuan" and "Yuan Yuan" the pandas' names mean reunion when put together.

They were welcomed with VIP treatment. Every move was made with painstaking care.

And finally, they made it to their new home.

Tuan Tuan, the boy, was eager to get to know his new place.

But Yuan Yuan, the girl looked as though she would take a little more time to settle in.
